Firestone Walker Brewing Company is currently working on several improvements, with most expected to be completed by summer. Projects include a new kegging hall, brewery store, “Union Hall”, which will showcase the brewery’s oak barrel brewing system, as well as repavings, landscaping and other improvements around the brewery. The restrooms at Pioneer Park are being upgraded. Pioneer Park is home to the Pioneer Skate Park, a baseball diamond, children's playground, large grass picnic area and the Pioneer Museum. The restrooms at the park were built by volunteers in the late 70's. The project is scheduled to begin January 17, 2013 and will be completed weather permitting, this spring. Read more.
Paso Robles AYSO Soccer is hosting their 14th Annual Grape Crush Open Invitation Tournament, Friday January 18 - Sunday, January 20, 2013. The tournament serves players ages 9-14, with 90 teams and families coming from regions as far as Hawthorne from the south, Mountain View from the north, and Visalia to the east. Read more.
Twin Cities Hospital Receives Top Safety Score
Twin Cities Community Hospital was recently honored with an "A" Hospital Safety Score by The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit advocacy group for hospital transparency. Twin Cities is one of just 92 hospitals in the state of California to receive and "A" in the Hospital Safety Score. Read more.
America's Tire Celebrates Grand Opening
America's Tire, the nation's largest tire and wheel retailer, announced the opening of its new store located at 2441 Golden Hill Road in Paso Robles. The America's Tire facility is located on Golden Hill Road, north of Route 46. "Customers will likely be attracted by our low prices and selection of tires and wheels", said Brian Wheat, store manager of the new store. Read more.
Vina Robles Winery recently broke ground on their new 3,300 seat boutique amphitheater at the Vina Robles Hospitality Center in the heart of Paso Robles wine country, and work is progressing steadily. Read more.
